A double flaring machine provides additional strength joints that are more resistant to fatigue and better seals than any single flaring machine. A double flaring machine in our inventory by any one of our major manufacturers have no cracks and pit marks. The joint is also designed so that the inside surface of the double flaring machine has a larger diameter than the inside diameter of the tube or pipe, so it does not interfere with flow characteristics of the system.
Typical Applications of a double flaring machine include thin-wall tubing connections that are subject to shock, vibration, or high internal pressures. Double flaring machine applications also include squaring, deburring, and flaring flared joints form liquid-tight and air-tight connections at the ends of tubing. To obtain the right seal using our double flaring machine, each end of the tube must be formed to the exact shape of the corresponding flare fittings. In nearly all cases, the same end-finishing double flaring machine can be used to perform the required squaring and deburring of the cut end before the flare is formed.
